We will walk with you on your journey to recovery

A group meeting near a whiteboard reading "RECOVERY FELLOWSHIP - 2 PM - STEP 4".

Who are we?

We are a community of Christians who care for people with addiction and people in recovery. We are based in and around Greater Glasgow, in Scotland. We are proud to be Christians. It is part of who we are. But it doesn’t need to be a part of you are. You may be a Christian, you may not.

We are an initiative of the Methodist Church in Scotland. The Methodist Church in Britain offers us our belief system and guides us in our mission.  We strongly believe that the experience of addiction, for however long it lasts, makes people feel like they no longer have God’s love and care. Our mission is empowering those who feel powerless, giving a voice to those who are voiceless and giving hope to those who live in despair.
We are a small team and we focus on people. We see people as children of God. We don’t see them with an addiction label. The person is more important than the label, the stigma or even the addiction.

What do we do?

We offer to walk with anyone who comes to us. We will walk with them on their journey to recovery. We don’t lead. We listen. We empower. We offer support and encouragement so people know that they are not alone and they are loved. We have several activities which are led by people in recovery or allies who have been trained.
